This is an exquisite delicate little pendant. The styling is somewhat exotic, perhaps, Turkish, but it is of European or English manufacture. I suspect
The cage like for is of yellow gold. In between the open gold work the space is filled with beautiful intensely colored turquoise. Turquoise is a prized stone st least since the ancient Egyptians. The Victorians prized turquoise and employed it frequently. Being rather rare and expensive it was most often used in small pieces like pins and pendants.
I think the beauty of this pretty piece speaks for itself. It measures approximately one inch long and about one half an inch wide. The bail is a modern replacement. The chain is not included. If you’d like l can provide one of several styles and lengths.
