About the Item
A Victorian oval-shaped amethyst and diamond pendant, the cabochon-cut amethyst with diamond-set star inlaid to the centre and rose-cut diamond encrusted drop terminating to a pear-shaped pearl, all to a yellow gold and silver mount with glass locket at the back, suspended by a diamond-set bow top with gold pendant loop, measuring approximately 6.5c x 2.1m, circa 1860, gross weight 20.1 grams.
A stunning and ornate mid-nineteenth century pendant. This pendant features a wonderful cabochon-cut amethyst in a rich and regal purple colour, in which is set a star set with dazzling diamonds. At the top of the amethyst is a lovely diamond-set bow and suspended from the amethyst is a gorgeous diamond and lustrous pearl drop. This piece, from the collection of Bentley
