This antique pendant fringe necklace is such a lovely and romantic jewel and is one of the most beautiful Victorian necklaces we have seen. The design is absolutely exquisite and is completely timeless. The necklace hangs with extraordinary beauty and elegance around the neck. This necklace has such fabulous movement with the dangling natural pearls set in the knife edge drops hanging from the stations with the graduated oval faceted purple amethysts.
The color of the Amethysts is a vivid royal purple.
The design is full of the delicate romance of the age and is a stunning jewel from The Gilded Age.
The necklace dates to circa 1850-1900.
The necklace is 15 1/4 inches (39 cm) long. The central drop hangs down 1 inch (26mm). The central amethyst is 10mm by 8mm.
The necklace could be easily extended by your jeweler if desired.
The necklace is hallmarked 9CT on the lovely original barrel clasp.
