About the Item
A captivating antique snake pendant crafted in 12ct gold and designed as a coiled serpent wrapped protectively around a lustrous pearl, with a vibrant turquoise set at its head. The serpent—an enduring Victorian symbol of eternity, protection, and devotion—displays beautifully sculpted detail and elegant movement.
Once an antique stickpin (circa 1870), the piece was expertly transformed into a pendant while preserving the artistry of the original piece.
The pendant measures approximately 1 inch from the top of the bail to the bottom by 0.5 inches wide and weighs 3.77 grams.
The gold has been professionally verified using XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis and confirmed with jeweler’s acid testing, authenticating its 12ct composition.
