About the Item
A Victorian turquoise, pearl and yellow gold cross pendant, grain-set with round turquoise cabochons within a border of half pearls, all in a yellow gold mount, circa 1860, bearing later Austrian import mark for 18ct gold, 1965-2001, the cross measuring approximately 6.5 x 3.5cm, gross weight 19.6 grams.
Victorian cross pendant is in excellent condition.

Skinner, Jewellers by Royal Appointment to His Majesty King Charles III. The pairing of bright turquoise and creamy pearl is a luminous combination that was popular in the mid-nineteenth century. This marvellous piece follows in the centuries-old tradition of symbolic cross pendants and would be eye-catching when worn on a thick yellow gold chain.
