Ganymede was a Trojan prince renowned for his beauty, who was abducted by Zeus. Zeus, captivated by Ganymede's beauty, either carried him away himself, possibly disguised as an eagle, or sent an eagle to retrieve him. Ganymede was then brought to Mount Olympus to serve as Zeus's cupbearer and was granted. The cameo is framed in an ornate 14k yellow gold setting, enhancing its classical beauty with intricate gold detailing.
