Elegant and finely detailed vintage Art Deco era locket (circa 1918) crafted in 9k yellow gold.
The oval shaped locket features a decorative engraved floral pattern. Likely given as a wedding or anniversary gift, the locket is engraved 'From A.D to N.C 23/4/20'. The locket opens to accommodate a picture or a keepsake.
The locket is in good condition. We have not cleaned it in order to preserve the patina and collector value.

Hallmark: 9 karat yellow gold. The locket is stamped with several English hallmarks. The first is the Mark of Origin for Chester, UK (three wheat sheaves) followed by "9" and ".375" for 9k gold. The next hallmark is the Date Letter sequence for the year the locket was produced (1918 with the letter 'S'). The final hallmark is the Makers Mark " "M
