A rare and romantic vintage "Médaille d'Amour" by the celebrated French jeweler Alphonse Augis, presented in its sought-after Spanish version. Crafted in solid 18-karat yellow gold, this charm features the timeless poetic sentiment "+ QUE AYER - QUE MAÑANA" (More than yesterday, less than tomorrow). The phrase is inspired by the famous 1889 poem by Rosemonde Gérard, making it one of the most iconic symbols of sentimental jewelry.
This specific model is a beautiful "all-gold" version, where the symbols and lettering are meticulously embossed in relief against a finely textured background. The pendant is encircled by an elegant scalloped "sunburst" border that catches the light from every angle. The reverse side features a charming relief of two children embracing, symbolizing eternal love.
