About the Item
All the relief work of this marvelous italian cross rests on a shiny gold part in the shape of a cross. This antique italian cross impresses by the precision and the detail of the decoration. The work on this cross is highly detailed giving it a unique beauty. Flowers and leaves are all hand-carved in 18kt Yellow Gold. The cross is entirely surrounded by a gold thread called "twist cable". Twist cable refers to wires that have been twisted together in various combinations. The wire must be annealed before and after twisting so that it won’t break or crack.
The 18kt yellow gold cross is in good used condition, with normal signs of wear commensurate with the age of the jewel.
