About the Item
Authentic Baltic Amber Pendant.
This piece is from my grandmothers collection taken on a boat from Latvia to America after World War 2. Early amber from the Baltic Sea crafted by traditional "Rotkali" jewelry smiths.
Baltic amber is 34-48 million years old (Seyfullah et al. 2018), having been deposited during the Lutetian stage of the Middle Eocene. The main deposits of Baltic amber are on the southern shores of the Baltic Sea.
Baltic amber, also known as "the pearl of The Baltic Sea" is know for its warmth and healing qualities.
This beautiful pendant has a bail at the top and can be put on any necklace of yours you like.
Naturally formed imperfections and character on front and back.
