About the Item
A beautiful pendant necklace from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! Crafted in 14k white gold, this necklace is comprised of a dainty rope chain, which secures with a simple spring ring clasp which is stamped "585". The necklace is accompanied by a lovely pendant, which features an oval-shaped rock quartz crystal. The crystal is held within a highly-decorative bezel-setting, which is adorned with delicate engravings and two small floral-motifs. The crystal has a hand carved design on the back, which shows through to the front as a subtle starburst inspired design. The crystal is centered by an inlaid circular onyx stone, which displays a dark black hue. The onyx is centered by an inlaid diamond, which is bead-set, and surrounded by an additional box-setting. The top of the pendant features an oblong link, which features scrolling-motif filigree work. The top of the piece features an engraved bail, which allows the pendant to slide gracefully on the complementary chain. An absolutely wonderful pendant necklace, this piece would be perfect for any Art Deco-era jewelry lover!
Measurements: The necklace has a total length of 18". The pendant hangs 1 1/2" long (including the bail) and has a width of 5/8".
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the white gold chain or pendant. The rock quartz crystal, onyx, and diamond are all secure and intact. The bail and spring ring clasp are both secure ad in working order.
