Introducing a true piece of history, an authentic Late Victorian sovereign vesta case and coin holder, beautifully crafted in soft 9 carat rose gold - a perfect blend of practicality and timeless beauty.
Designed to hold both matches and a full sovereign coin, this unique piece is elegantly adorned across its entire surface with intricate hand engraved foliate motifs, adding depth and character to the design.
The hinged compartments open smoothly, revealing a secure hidden slot for a sovereign at the top and a match compartment at the bottom, making it a stylish yet discreet accessory.
A ridged striker is seamlessly integrated into the design, allowing for easy ignition of matches when needed and the attached jump ring allows for easy attachment to a chain or fob.
The case measures approximately 7.4 x 3.0 x .1.1 cm (including the jump ring) and weighs 26.05 grams

Features hallmarks to the inside case for Birmingham (UK) assay office and is date stamped for 1900.
