About the Item
A fine antique Austrian glass, silver,
enamel table or dresser box.
By Georg Adam Scheid.
With a cornucopia or vase form decoration enamel flowers in a guilloche cartouche. The rest of the lid has an ornate pattern etched in the silver.
Marked to the bottom of the lid with a 6 / 800 / Georg Adam Scheid's maker's mark / and another mark.
Simply a great enameled box by one of Austria's masters!

Overall Condition:
It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition.
Condition Details:
Almost all of the exterior gilding is rubbed. There are some spots of persistent tarnish here and there and scratches
abrasions to the interior of the box. Otherwise, there are some fine
light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
