A fine signed Japanese silver jewelry box.
In .950 sterling silver.
With intricate engraved chrysanthemum decoration and a trefoil handle to the lid.
The interior with a lacquered wood and velvet lining to both the lid and body with a matching insert.
With a functional lock and original key.
Engraved with kanji to the lid and marked for fineness to the base.
Simply a wonderful Japanese jewlery box!

Overall Condition:
It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition.
Condition Details:
The hinge protrudes slightly from one side of the back. There is a spot of firescale or persistent tarnish to the reverse, some light dings and indentions throughout (with one noticeable one to the reverse corner), and some light edge wear. Otherwise, there are some fine and light surface scratches, and other signs of light wear consistent with age.
Marks:
Marked 950 Silver to the base. Signed with kanji to the top.

Marked 950 for sterling silver fineness.
