About the Item
In good vintage condition, this has a loop so can be worn as a pendant.
A lovely foliate pierced decorated panel opens up. A vinaigrette is a small filigree container used to hold a perfume-soaked sponge or piece of cotton. Vinaigrette jewellery was worn by ladies during the Victorian era to mask unpleasant odours.
It has an empty cartouche.
