About the Item
This lovely antique pencil extends to a full-size pencil, and collapses to a small size, originally allowing to be worn as a fob on an Albert chain. The pencil is set to one end with a circular panel of black onyx, and sports a hinged bale, allowing it to be worn as a pendant on a chain, or fastened to a chain by way of a clip or ring. The pencil is in working order, with the nib section unscrewing from the rest of the pencil, allowing lead to be inserted. The pencil is in good condition, there is a split in the nib, which is common in these pencils and does not affect the usability of the piece, and there are a few small dings. Wear and tear acquiescent with age.
