Wonderful example of an Empire gold seal with an Italian motto engraved in an oval bloodstone: "giamai ingrato".
The intaglio depicts a field with a sunflower, a river or a lake, a stately home and a sunburst from above. The exquisitely cut intaglio is mounted in finely engraved two colour gold and set with a banded agate ball and bloodstone cabochons.
