About the Item

Fabergé Egg Object of Art, 18k Yellow Gold, Blue Guilloché Enamel with Paillons, Ruby Cabochon 0.75 ct This Fabergé egg, created around 1995 by the workmaster Victor Mayer, is a masterpiece of jewellery art that combines imperial inspiration with exquisite craftsmanship. Entirely made from solid gold, it exemplifies the luxurious refinement for which Fabergé is renowned. The surface is covered with translucent royal blue guilloché enamel, enriched with delicate golden paillons. These fine foil ornaments, embedded beneath the enamel, create a shimmering, luminous effect with exceptional depth. At the top sits a ruby cabochon of 0.75 ct, which serves as the focal point of the design, radiating vibrant red brilliance against the cool enamel tones. The egg consists of two precisely fitting halves. Inside, the upper part is lined with royal blue silk, bearing a golden imprint of the Russian double-headed eagle, symbol of the imperial heritage. The lower part is silk-lined as well and shaped with a recess to hold a ring, gemstone, or another precious object, making the egg a refined presentation piece or gift. A separate golden stand, crafted by Victor Mayer for Fabergé, accompanies the egg. It completes the ensemble and enhances the regal effect of the object. Both the egg and stand bear the Fabergé signature and the maker’s mark of Victor Mayer, testifying to their authenticity and origin. About the Fabergé workmaster Victor Mayer For two decades (1989 to 2009), the renowned German jewellery manufactory Victor Mayer held the exclusive worldwide licence to create Fabergé jewels and objets d’art, continuing the historic tradition of the Fabergé workmasters. Today, Victor Mayer remains one of Fabergé’s most valued and trusted partners for enamelled jewellery and objects of art. About vitreous enamel The luminous colours are literally created “in the fire”: layer by layer, enamel is carefully fired at 800 degrees Celsius. Guilloché engraving enhances this brilliance, creating a unique depth effect as light moves across the surface. Vitreous means made of glass: the ancient technique is almost forgotten today, and Victor Mayer is perhaps the last manufactory to master it at the highest level. About gold paillons Paillons are small motifs of gold foil fused onto a pre-fired enamel layer and then covered with translucent enamel. This creates the impression of chased gold beneath the surface. With their delicate relief and shimmering depth, paillons are one of the rarest enamel techniques still mastered by Victor Mayer today. Availability This egg object is currently in stock and can be shipped immediately. The Fabergé egg will be delivered in its original Fabergé presentation box with certificate.

Fabergé Spring Egg, 18k Yellow Gold, Translucent Pink Guilloché Vitreous Enamel, 79 Diamonds 1.06 ct G VS, Bowenite, Rose Quartz, Citrine, Rock Crystal, Amethyst, Topaz The Spring Egg, created in 1996, is the first in the Fabergé “Four Seasons” series inspired by Antonio Vivaldi’s celebrated violin concertos. It represents the awakening of spring through a delicate fusion of colour, movement, and music. The egg’s exterior is crafted from 18k yellow gold, covered with translucent pink enamel on a guilloché ground. Its surface is richly decorated with applied golden garlands, bows, and floral motifs, accented by 79 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 1.06 ct (G VS). The vibrant pink hue, enhanced by guilloché engraving, symbolises freshness and renewal. When opened, the egg reveals its surprise: a golden vase containing a vivid bouquet of flowers carved from semiprecious stones — citrine, rock crystal, amethyst, and topaz. Each blossom is highlighted by a sparkling diamond “dewdrop”, while the leaves are crafted in green-enamelled gold. The bouquet slowly revolves to the melody of Vivaldi’s “Spring” from The Four Seasons, played by a dedicated Swiss music movement by Reuge. The mechanism was further modified and refined by Swiss master watchmaker Paul Gerber...
