About the Item

Fabergé Phases of the Moon Clock Egg, 18k Yellow Gold, Opalescent Blue Guilloché Enamel, 496 Diamonds, Rock Crystal, Rose Quartz, Black Onyx This Fabergé egg, created in the year 2000, was the first to be made in the Art Deco style. It rests on a base of gold and slabs of onyx decorated with four guilloché-enamelled lockets. The underside of the base is set with a pane of sapphire glass that reveals the mechanical heart of the piece. At twelve noon each day it plays Debussy’s "Clair de Lune". While the musical mechanism was originally developed by Reuge, it was fully re-worked, refined and integrated by Swiss master watchmaker Paul Gerber, who also constructed the highly complex clockwork of the egg. Beneath the dome of cut and polished rock crystal lies a celestial map: an arrangement of gold-leaf stars on a dark blue enamelled sky. A gold zodiac disc rotates beneath, showing the constellations, while a moon at the centre indicates the current moon phase. The hours are shown on an enamelled dial, the minutes on a gold disc above, and the seconds on a polished rock-crystal viewing window. The celestial map and moon phases are mechanically linked to the timekeeping system. This clock movement, developed by Paul Gerber, is regarded as a horological masterpiece, combining precision, complexity and artistic beauty in equal measure. 18kt Yellow Gold, translucent enamel on guilloché ground, opalescent blue and royal blue celestial sky, 496 brilliant-cut diamonds (total 11.48 ct, G VS), 8 sapphires, rock crystal, onyx, rose quartz, gold-leaf stars, enamelled zodiac disc. Masterpiece Swiss 8-day Pendulet bridge movement with double going barrel mainspring, swan-neck fine adjustment, and Breguet spiral. Music box mechanism re-worked and integrated by Paul Gerber, Switzerland. About the Fabergé workmaster VICTOR MAYER For two decades (1989 to 2009) the renowned German jewellery firm VICTOR MAYER was authorised to create exquisite Fabergé jewels and objects of art under worldwide exclusive licence. As such, VICTOR MAYER continued the tradition of the Fabergé workmaster for twenty years. Today, and while it no longer holds a worldwide exclusive license in respect of jewellery, VICTOR MAYER remains one of Fabergé’s valued and trusted suppliers of certain jewels. About vitreous enamel: The inimitably luminous colours are literally created "in the fire": layer by layer, enamel is carefully fired in at 800 degrees Celsius. During guilloching, the finest wave patterns are engraved into the gold, creating a unique depth effect. Vitreous means made of glass: the ancient technique is almost forgotten today and Victor Mayer is perhaps the last manufactory to master it at the highest level. Availability: This piece of jewellery is in our stock and can be shipped immediately. The Egg Object will be delivered with an original Fabergé box and certificates.

Fabergé Meissen Egg, Gold, Enamel, Diamonds, Gemstones, Porcelain, Music Box
By Fabergé
Located in Pforzheim, DE
This Fabergé egg commemorates Carl-Peter Fabergé’s sojourn in Dresden in 1860/61 and the artistic influences he absorbed at the Green Vault. The foot is crafted of hand-painted porcelain by the State Meissen Porcelain Manufactory, designed expressly for this piece. The upper half of the egg in gold and enamel contains a miniature garden with a diamond-set well house and trees of nephrite and pearls. A dedicated Swiss music box movement by Reuge plays a minuet by Luigi Boccherini, while the well house and trees move in contrapuntal motion. The transformation of the music box movement into the motion of the well is achieved by a special mechanism with an additional spring, developed by the Swiss master watchmaker Paul Gerber...

Fabergé Spring Egg, 18k Yellow Gold, Pink Guilloche Enamel, Diamonds, Bowenite
By Fabergé
Located in Pforzheim, DE
Fabergé Spring Egg, 18k Yellow Gold, Translucent Pink Guilloché Vitreous Enamel, 79 Diamonds 1.06 ct G VS, Bowenite, Rose Quartz, Citrine, Rock Crystal, Amethyst, Topaz The Spring Egg, created in 1996, is the first in the Fabergé “Four Seasons” series inspired by Antonio Vivaldi’s celebrated violin concertos. It represents the awakening of spring through a delicate fusion of colour, movement, and music. The egg’s exterior is crafted from 18k yellow gold, covered with translucent pink enamel on a guilloché ground. Its surface is richly decorated with applied golden garlands, bows, and floral motifs, accented by 79 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 1.06 ct (G VS). The vibrant pink hue, enhanced by guilloché engraving, symbolises freshness and renewal. When opened, the egg reveals its surprise: a golden vase containing a vivid bouquet of flowers carved from semiprecious stones — citrine, rock crystal, amethyst, and topaz. Each blossom is highlighted by a sparkling diamond “dewdrop”, while the leaves are crafted in green-enamelled gold. The bouquet slowly revolves to the melody of Vivaldi’s “Spring” from The Four Seasons, played by a dedicated Swiss music movement by Reuge. The mechanism was further modified and refined by Swiss master watchmaker Paul Gerber...

This exceptional, 18 carat gold Easter egg was crafted by the famous London-based royal jewellers, Asprey & Co. The gold is arranged to form the image of a peacock, with a magnificent fanned train, composed of red, dark blue and green coloured plique-à-jour enamel. The light blue body of the peacock, and its long swirling light and dark blue tail feathers, have been crafted from intricate guilloché enamel, which is often found on Fabergé style eggs...
