About the Item

Antique Faberge Pink Chalcedony Polar Bear Miniature with Ruby Eyes - Russian Imperial Art We are delighted to present a unique piece of art from our collection: a miniature figurine of a polar bear crafted from delicate pink chalcedony. The ruby eyes add a touch of elegance and refinement, giving this rare creation a distinctive charm. The figurine is believed to date back to the late 19th or early 20th century, the work of Fabergé or his workshop. This enchanting miniature, standing just 36 mm (1.4 inches) tall and weighing 9 grams, would make a wonderful addition to any antique collection or a sophisticated gift for a discerning connoisseur. Despite its modest size, the polar bear radiates a unique allure, capturing the hearts of those who appreciate its refined craftsmanship and historical significance. At the turn of the 20th century, a series of very miniature figures made of pink chalcedony was created. Some of these pieces are now in private collections, while others are held in museums. Two figures from our series can be seen in the last photograph, which is taken from a book on Fabergé figurines.
