About the Item
The monumental centerpiece "Viva Victoria" is a powerful sculptural homage to triumph, legacy, and imperial ambition, created in memory of the genius of Napoleon Bonaparte.
One of Napoleon’s most enduring maxims, La victoire dépend de vous (“Victory depends on you”), forms the conceptual foundation of this work. The centerpiece is conceived as a celebration of victory as both a personal force and a defining historical ideal.
Crafted in 925 sterling silver, the composition is built from sculptural figures and finely modeled bas-reliefs depicting Victoria, the classical goddess of victory. Her imagery flows continuously across the surface of the piece, creating a dynamic architectural rhythm and transforming the vase into a fully sculptural object rather than a purely functional vessel.
The centerpiece is executed using traditional master techniques, including artistic casting, hand engraving, and chasing and repoussé, allowing for deep relief, crisp detailing, and a strong sense of movement throughout the form.
At the center of the composition, the design traditionally features a crystal vase. Upon request, this element may be replaced with a hand-chased silver vase, fully integrated into the overall sculptural language of the work.
The piece measures approximately 50 cm in diameter and 45 cm in height, giving it a commanding presence suitable for a grand table, formal interior, or curated display. By special commission, Viva Victoria may be produced in larger or smaller dimensions than those specified, while preserving the original proportions, sculptural balance, and artistic intent.
Each vase is crafted exclusively for the client, estimated lead time is approximately 5-7 months from order confirmation.
At the center of the composition the standard crystal element may be replaced upon the client’s request with a magnificent hand chased solid silver vessel further elevating the piece into a fully sculptural silver centerpiece.
