About the Item
This silver watchchain was made in the last quarter of the 19th century. It is made out of smooth foxtail silver chains, with two slides with the surface of a stylized pine apple. On eyelet carries a french hallmark.
These watch chains used to decorate the waistcoat of a French gentleman. A silver pocket watch and may be some seals were suspended from it.
