About the Item
This fine 1st half 19th century Silber and fabric hand bag was made in France in the first half of the nineteenth century. on both outer edges of the bulges we see an impressed French makers mark and a French silver mark The bag is worn on a long silver chain. the paisley fabric is a later edition. Paisley shawls with this kind of pattern and colouring were fashionable in the 1860's
