About the Item
This pair of antique sterling silver Zeeland throat knots are set with an intermediate ring. The knots or buttons were worn by Dutch Zeeland men and are part of the Walcher traditional regional costume in the Netherlands around 1900. They were worn by men and boys to close the top buttonhole of the shirt or blouse. These throat buttons are made from sterling silver and are beautifully detailed with cannetille and a scalloped border.
The knots are in very good condition and are hallmarked on the backside.
The knots will be gift-wrapped in a black and gold jewelry box.
