This is a faux tortoise shell peineta with six forks. This hair ornament, a large fan shaped decorative comb, has small blue rhinestones. Women in the Hispanic world usually worn them under a mantilla, or lace head covering, to church or special occasions such as weddings, bullfights and traditional performances of flamenco music.
