Navajo sterling silver buckle belt set by Navajo silversmith Alvin Begay. Buckle on tooled basketweave leather belt. Buckle features sterling silver shadow box design that is mirrored on loops and end piece. Maker's mark on back. Belt could easily be replaced with alternate pattern from other inventory. Alvin Begay is a renowned Navajo artisan whose pieces have been featured in museums and galleries across the country. He blends contemporary and traditional techniques in his jewelry, implementing sharp lines and Southwestern motifs in many of his pieces. 44 1/2" belt, Buckle 1 3/4" x 1 3/4"
