About the Item
An antique diamond, ruby, and yellow gold ring, comprising one old European cut diamond, two rose cut diamonds, and two round cut rubies, set in 18 karat yellow gold, to an 18 karat yellow gold band.
This antique ring is set to the centre with an old European cut diamond. The diamond is bright, white, and sparkly. The central diamond is flanked by a pair of round cut rubies, which are well matched with one another. The rubies are a deep, luxurious red colour, and are accented perfectly by the bright sparkle of the diamonds and the warm tone of the yellow gold. A pair of glittering rose cut diamonds complete the ring. The rubies and diamonds are raised on a gallery sporting geometric openwork, allowing light to filter through and aid sparkle. The broad shoulders of the ring taper to a band of plain polished yellow gold. The ring is in good condition. Wear and tear acquiescent with age.
The setting of the ring measures 6.6mm long, and 16mm wide, sitting 3.4mm off the hand. The band measures 2mm wide at the back.
