A handsome antique Diamond set snake ring.
Coils of rich rose gold form the body of the snake and the tail wraps all the way around.
Set to the head of are a selection of beautiful old cut diamonds with the most gorgeous twinkle Approx 0.20ct of diamonds in total.
This is a lovely wide snake ring with tonnes of old character and charm.
The snake ring was catapulted into popularity when Queen Victoria received a snake ring from her beloved Albert but they have been used in jewellery for centuries.
Marks and era:
Fully hallmarked for 9ct gold, Chester assay office, 1915.
Condition:
Fair used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, slight thinning of the band with some rough edges, previous repair near the head and resize, lots of aged patina
