About the Item
A beautiful vintage old cut diamond cluster ring set in 18k gold and platinum.
The piece is centrally set with a sparkly 2.22 carat old cut diamond which is ten claw set securely. The central stone is then surrounded by a cluster of ten further old cut diamonds which flow down to fluted shoulders each set with a tiny diamond. The head of the ring has been set in platinum, to enhance the colouring of the diamonds, the shank and band are in an antique gold colouring.
What makes this ring so special is the large central diamond which is a true one-of-a-kind! Old cut diamonds were cut by hand over 100 years ago, meaning every old cut is unique in themselves!
For size reference, the head of the ring measures 17 x 18 millimetres and there is a gross weight of 6.4 grams. The central stone is 2.22 carats total, estimated I-J in colour with SI clarity. There is an estimated remaining diamond weight of 2.50 carats. The ring is currently a UK finger size M but can be resized upon request. Due to the age of the ring, it is not stamped, however has been tested for platinum and gold.
