Striking, large antique Edwardian diamond, ruby and 18K yellow gold coiled snake ring Early 20th Century The sinuous snake coiled in five circles creating an impactful design, the head set with a beautiful oval ruby, a round European Cut diamond and diamond eyes. Abundant in symbolism, the serpent signifies power, renewal, royalty and protection. It is also one of the twelve Chinese zodiac signs. Pharaohs adorned their heads with its likeness and Bulgari created their iconic and most successful line around the snake. The design continues to enchant with its feminine and self-confident aesthetic.
