A geometric R14 ring designed by Jean Dinh Van.
Beautiful geometric modernist piece, created in Paris, France at the jewelry atelier of the iconic designer Dinh Van. This lovely rare ring has been crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with very high polished finish.
These sophisticated design synthesizes the architectural geometric style that characterizes Dinh Van. The daring piece incorporates the composition of two geometric circular elements.
Has a total weight of 7.5 grams and the actual size is 7, sizeable. The top view measurements are 12 mm by 20 mm.
It is Stamped, with French hallmarks, the eagle's head for the assay and guaranty of the 18kt gold, the maker's cartouche mark Ste DVD (Societe Dinh Van), the sizing number and signed, "DINH VAN .750 54".
Jean Dinh Van is a French designer, that was born in 1927 from a French-Vietnamese family. His successful career started behind the workbench at the French jewelry house of Cartier in 1946 and then work for Pierre Cardin. In 1972 he started his own company and the followed years his revolutionary designs and style caught on quickly and launched him to the forefront of the jewelry and fashion world. All his designs are very geometric and modern, both, his original vintage pieces created for Cartier and the contemporary creations are highly collectible. Dinh Van pieces are very fashionable, sophisticate and easy to wear, also can be displayed as a small toys, sculptures and "Objets du Vertu".
Note: The French stampings on this ring are pre 1992.
Provenance: Acquired from a very old unsold store inventory (This ring is brand new and was never used).
Collateral: It is accompanied by the old certificate paper cards and folder set
This ring is in great original brand new condition with no dents or previous repairs.

Sculptural modernist piece, created in France by the Parisian fashion designer Pierre Cardin, back in the 1970. This geometric sculptural ring has been crafted with minimalist patterns in solid sterling silver and yellow gold of 14 karats with high polished finish. This ring is part of the collection created between the 1960 and 1970, when the artist Jean Dinh Van was the creative head in the jewelry department of Pierre Cardin.
The design of these rings and other pieces of jewelry from these collections have always been inspired as a design pattern by the letters PC from Pierre Cardin's initials. Composite geometric shapes make up these letters, which although sometimes they are very obvious in the design, in others they are made in a more discreet way.
