About the Item
A fine and impressive antique 2.30 carat Ceylon sapphire and 1.05 carat diamond, 18 karat yellow gold ring; part of our Edwardian sapphire jewellery collections.
This fine and impressive Edwardian sapphire and diamond ring has been crafted in 18k yellow gold.
The scroll decorated setting is ornamented with a central claw-set feature 2.30ct cushion cut Ceylon sapphire.
The sapphire is flanked on either side by three Old European round cut diamonds, claw set in a tiered formation, totalling 1.05ct.
The groove decorated shoulders integrate with the main setting and melds with the plain ring shank.
This Edwardian sapphire and diamond ring has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 karat gold.
The ring is supplied with an IDGL diamond grading report card, in addition to a sapphire report supplied by the Gemmological Certification Services*, London.
NOTE: * This documentation accredits the sapphire originating in Sri Lanka (Ceylon) and certifies that the gemstone shows no indications of heating.

Condition
This impressive 1910s ring is excellent quality, set with an impressive sapphire displaying fine colour, brilliance and presence.
The impressive high colour graded diamonds display a fine white colour and brilliance.
The ring is an excellent gauge of gold and is in excellent condition.
The ring has a fine and delicate shank, which is often the case with original antique rings.
