About the Item
18k gold ring. This magnificent and unique ring, made and signed by George Sawyer in 1995 is a half round style of mokume gani* folded metal, using a combination of yellow, rose and grey golds and is set with scattered round faceted diamonds, approximately 0.10 TCW and flush set.
*Mokume gane is the Japanese folded metal technique, originally used in swords and katanas, of layering contrasting colored metals and soldering them into one solid block, which is then hammered and forged to reveal complex, multi colored patterns.
