About the Item
The Pyra ring expands the experimental aesthetic introduced in Cyrene, but with greater weight, density, and visual impact. Crafted by hand from 14K gold plated sterling silver, it features a bold barrel-shaped form. Across the surface, raw ruby crystals appear to break through the metal itself, fused directly into the gold without frames or borders. The result is a ring that feels elemental and untamed, as if shaped by pressure and heat rather than by traditional jewelry methods.
The textured rubies contrast sharply with the smooth metal, creating a dynamic tension between refinement and raw natural force. Each uncut crystal brings irregular shapes, fractured lines, and vibrant color, making every piece distinct. Pyra embodies German Kabirski’s exploration of the point where form, instinct, and material collide.
