About the Item
This ring features an antique, mother-of-pearl Chinese gambling counter with motifs dating back to the 18th century. Counters such as this were originally carved in China for export to Britain, where the British would use them much like we use poker chips. (Please refer to the history of the gaming counter, shown along with additional photographs of this piece.) This rectangular mother-of-pearl counter measures 22 x 17mm and is framed in 18k yellow gold. The ring was handcrafted in silver and 18k yellow gold making it wearable with just about anything in your wardrobe!. 2 pretty black ceramic bands are included for "stacking" on either side of the ring. Stylish and fun, yet classic and a timeless work of art!
