About the Item
This is a wonderful 18ct yellow gold mourning ring from the early Victorian era. The ring has been set with a central cabochon black cats eye tourmaline and the band of the ring features black enamel with the words 'In Memory Of'. The inside of the ring has been hand engraved with the words 'Elizabeth Larkin Oct 2nd Dec. 1854 Oct 83'.
This is a fine example of a Victorian memorial ring and a great piece of history.
