About the Item
A stunning vintage 1.43 carat Basaltic sapphire and 0.91 carat diamond, platinum cocktail ring; part of our diverse vintage jewelry and estate jewelry collections.
This stunning, fine and impressive sapphire cocktail ring has been crafted in platinum.
The pierced decorated, oval shaped setting is ornamented with a feature 1.43Ct cushion mixed cut Basaltic sapphire, bezel set to the center of the design.
The sapphire is surrounded by a pierced decorated, scrolling design and a subtle millegrain decoration to the borders.
The ring is framed by sixteen pavé set Old European round cut diamonds, graduated in size with the largest being set to the upper and lower borders.
The pierced decorated, elevated ring shoulders meet the main setting at a tapered point and are ornamented with a groove decoration and a cuff design, melding with the plain ring shank.
This stunning vintage 1940s cocktail ring has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as platinum.
The ring is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.
NOTE: * The Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) lab has verbally accredited the sapphire originating in Basaltic deposits and verifies that the gemstone shows no indications of heating; non-heated sapphires are a scarcity.
Condition
This gemstone cocktail ring is fine quality set with a blue sapphire and very well color matched, very high color graded old cut diamonds. The ring is a very good gauge of platinum and is in excellent condition.
