My favourite thing about this Antique Yellow Gold
Platinum Diamond and Pearl Ring is the sparkling diamonds. What’s yours? Perhaps the elegant pearl? Or the unusual design?
This pretty antique ring is set with 4 old European cut diamonds. The diamonds are held within bezel settings, which are topped with platinum, accentuating the sparkle of the diamonds. The half pearl is similarly set, in a platinum-topped bezel setting. The pearl is pale, lustrous, and shimmering, and is an elegant silver tone. The diamonds are set to the ‘compass points’ of the pearl, creating an unusual cluster. The shoulders of the ring curve gracefully away from the pearl, and sweep up to create the band of plain, polished, yellow gold. The ring is in good condition. Wear and tear acquiescent with age.
The head of the ring measures 13.1mm long, and 12.9mm wide. The ring rises 5.4mm off the hand, and the band measures 1mm wide at the back.
