A victorian garnet ring with brilliant, sparkling cherry color and a pink under glow. Made in c.1890, the ring is American made in 14 Kt gold. The way the jeweler set the stones makes the prongs ornamental and this makes the ring more striking. Garnet was a popular stone in the Victorian period. The gems range in color from wine red to red orange to green, deep rose and honey brown. The stone is associated with love, inner fire, life force and friendship. Knowing that enhances your appreciation of the ring. The condition is perfect. Size 6 1/2 and can be adjusted by your fine jeweler which I advise so that you have it more rapidly.
