About the Item
Art Deco Marquise Blue Sapphire and Diamond Ring mounted in Platinum. Ca.1925
Art Deco platinum ring starring an elegantly modeled marquise blue sapphire weighing 1.78 carats approx. (11,70X5,80X3.37mm) The enchanting royal-blue gemstone is set in a full bezel atop a sparkling frame of diamonds. For a finishing touch, a pair of round diamonds glitter on each side of the ring shank. A uniquely beautiful, 1 inch long vintage bauble handcrafted in platinum. Judging from the cut of the diamonds, the ring likely dates Ca.1925. Period Art Deco.
Twenty two (22) single-cut diamonds surrounding the central stone and shoulders set with trios (6) of single cut diamonds with approximate total weight of 0.70 carats and delicate milgraining add the finishing.
