A Belle Epoque pearl, ruby and diamond navette-shaped ring, the old cushion-cut diamond estimated to weigh 0.8 carats, vertically set between a white and a grey pearl, accompanied by GCS Report stating to be of natural saltwater origin, centrally-set to an openwork plaque encrusted with old European and rose-cut diamonds estimated to weigh a further total of 1.1 carats, terminating to two pear-shaped rubies with approximate weight 0.8 carats, all set in platinum and yellow gold, circa 1900, head measuring 3.2x1.8cm, finger size L, gross weight 6.4 grams. Finger size L
This ring is in very good condition. Unmarked, tested as 18ct gold.
This exceptional Belle Epoque ring comes from the collection of Bentley
Skinner, Jewellers by Royal Appointment to His Majesty King Charles III. This unique and unusual ring features a navette-shaped plaque in which is set a central diamond surrounded by two natural pearls: one white and one grey. Above the luminous pearls are two bright and vividly coloured rubies, and further diamonds make up the frame of the ring. This eye-catching piece is uniquely colourful but still captures the essence of Belle Epoque elegance and grace.
