A Belle-Époque ruby and diamond cluster ring, the central old brilliant-cut diamond weighing approximately 0.25 carat, set to an openwork quatrefoil design cluster surround of calibre-cut rubies, within a border of old-cut diamonds estimated to weigh a further 0.25 carat, all millegrain-set in platinum, with fluted platinum shank and diamond-set shoulders, French hallmarks, circa 1910, gross weight 3.9 grams. Finger size O 1/2
This stunning early twentieth century ring comes from the collection of Bentley
Skinner, Jewellers by Royal Appointment to His Majesty King Charles III. It features a single dazzling diamond surrounded by delicate openwork semi-circles set with diamonds and rubies. The diamond and rubies swirl elegantly around the central diamond, adding visual interest to this fine antique piece. This ring would make a beautiful and unique engagement ring.
