About the Item
An Edwardian ruby and diamond ring, the oval faceted ruby weighing 0.94 carats claw-set between old-cut diamond-set scroll designed split-shoulders, the diamonds estimated to weight 0.8 carats in total, all set in platinum and yellow gold, to gold ridged shank, circa 1905, the head measuring 1.6x1.8cm, finger size M 1/2, gross weight 4.5 grams.
This ring is in very good condition. Unmarked, tested as 18ct gold and platinum.
This distinctive and charming Edwardian ring comes from the collection of Bentley
Skinner, Jewellers by Royal Appointment to His Majesty King Charles III. Featuring a stunning central “pigeon’s blood” ruby surrounded by four lively diamonds, this unique ring was made in around 1905 and is a wonderful and eye-catching piece.
