About the Item
A Late Victorian emerald and diamond cluster ring, the octagonal-cut emerald weighing 0.86 carats, accompanied by GCS Report stating to be of Colombian origin, surrounded by fourteen old European-cut diamonds estimated to weigh 0.5 carats in total, all claw-set in yellow gold mount, the shoulders with openwork scroll designs, to D-section shaped shank, circa 1890, measuring 2 x 1.2cm, finger size O ½, gross weight 5.2grams.
This antique ring is in ver good condition for its age. Unmarked, tested as 18ct gold.
A gorgeous emerald and diamond cluster ring which is part of a fine collection from Bentley
Skinner, Jewellers by Royal Appointment to His Majesty King Charles III. This ring features an emerald of a rich green colour, accented by fourteen old European-cut diamonds, all twinkling romantically. The stones sit in a detailed and intricate yellow gold mount with openwork scroll designs. This ring is emblematic of high Victorian style, which was flamboyant and rarely subtle. The striking green of the emerald in the centre contrasts beautifully with the diamonds which encircle it.
