About the Item
A late Victorian ruby and diamond ring, the oval shaped faceted ruby weighing 0.61 carats accompanied by GCS report stating to be of Burmese origin, from the Mogok mines, vertically-set between two old brilliant-cut diamonds, the one weighing 0.20 and the other 0.26 carats, both assessed to be of G-H colour and SI clarity, the crescent-shaped shoulders embellished with fourteen rose-cut diamonds graduating in size and estimated to weigh a further total of 0.15 carats, all set in silver, to yellow gold back and gold tapering shank, bearing French import mark for 18ct gold, circa 1900, measuring 1.9x1.6cm, finger size K½, gross weight 2.9 grams.
This ring is in excellent condition.
This gorgeous Victorian ring was made at the end of the nineteenth century and comes from the collection of Bentley
Skinner, Jewellers by Royal Appointment to His Majesty King Charles III. This delicate ring features wonderful diamond crescents enclosing a trio of rubies and diamonds. The central ruby is deeply coloured and wonderfully bright, and the two diamonds above and below the ruby are lively and sparkle beautifully. This romantic Victorian piece would make a unique and eye-catching engagement ring.
