A ruby and diamond cluster ring, the oval faceted ruby estimated to weigh 0.65 carats, surrounded by eight old brilliant-cut diamonds estimated to weigh 1.35 carats in total, all claw set in a white to yellow gold mount with diamond set shoulders,circa 1950, later hallmarked 18ct gold, London 2016, bearing the Bentley
Skinner sponsormark, head measuring 1.3x1.2cm, finger size M 1/2, gross weight 2.98 grams.
This vintage ring is in very good condition.
This marvellous ring is one of several such pieces from the collection of Bentley
Skinner, Jewellers by Royal Appointment to His Majesty King Charles III. This ring draws stylistic inspiration from the rings of the Victorian era and features a bright and vivid central ruby. The ruby is surrounded by a cluster of scintillating old-cut diamonds which flash and catch the light in a lovely way. The yellow gold band beautifully complements the warmth of the ruby and the sparkle of the diamonds, making this ring an ideal antique-inspired engagement ring.
