this ring will look so pretty on your hands, a pinkish red Ruby of 0.15 ct surrounded by fullcut diamonds approx. 0.25 ct, W (white) / SI (small inclusion), 18 kt yellow gold, brilliants setting also on ring shoulders, lovely workshop by a german goldsmith, weight approx. 3,5 grams, ring seize about 53 mm, measurement approx. 20 x 8 x 3,5 mm, amazing design
To the ruby:
Disputedly, the most expensive colored gemstones worldwide are untreated Burma rubies, preferably in the color pigeon blood red (pure red with a slight blue tinge), but due to the small occurrences, untreated Mozambique rubies are also very rare and expensive as investment gemstones.
In Latin "rubens" stands for red, which is where the term ruby came from.
Mineralogically, the ruby belongs to the corundums with a Mos hardness of 9 (very hard, comes directly after the diamond) and a high light refraction of 1.76
