About the Item

Halo ring made in Tsarist Imperial Russia ca. late XIX - early XX century. Flower crown with parts in Silver + Gold construction measuring 16 mm x 14 mm x 6 mm deep. Siberian Diamond, old rose hand cut stone, of a bit irregular shapes measuring 9.5 mm x 6 mm x 2.4 mm deep / ca 1.85 ct. Color ca. I,G / VS. Small chip close to the girdle. Minor flaws are visible inside the stone. Back side of the stone needs extra cleaning from grease and dust. Diamond is encircled with 10 Marquise cut dark rose colored Rubies set in miniature Silver clusters, all also hand cut, measuring 3 mm x 1.5 mm / 0.025 ct each. Hallmarked with maker's and 56 Russian Imperial Standard hallmarks. In fine used condition. Patina on metals. A few Rubies show very minor wear to facets under x 10 magnification only. All stones original, secure settings. Size Ø 7.5 US / 17.75 mm. It can be sized. Weight: 2.8 grams. Most of the items that we sell are not new at all if not stated otherwise. Gemstones may often look differently in different light and weather conditions and time of the day, both indoors and outdoors. Stones of the rings photographed alone may look a bit differently when on hand because your finger makes the back side of the stone closed and light no longer can go through and the color becomes different. Stones with closed backs may seem darker than stones with open backs. Such nuances of color perception do not give any excuse to claim item to be not as described.
