About the Item
The beautiful “Summer Pond” ring is handcrafted by Konforti Jewelry in 18K yellow gold. Its centerpiece is a hand-carved 64 ct. aquamarine gemstone, enhanced with hand-painted hot enamel for vivid, layered color reminiscent of traditional Limoges enamel. The ring is further accented with 4.5 ct. of multicolored sapphires in 11 shades, creating a vibrant, one-of-a-kind statement piece.
This ring from the "Stone Garden Collection" tells a story of a graceful frog leaping into rippling waters, surrounded by vibrant plants, reflecting the serene beauty of a summer pond in motion.
The "Stone Garden Collection" was inspired by the Asian aesthetic, and the use of unique gemstones in each piece symbolized the tranquil and incredible Japanese stone gardens. Many of the themes in the pieces were inspired by Hokusai's art like in this ring the "Summer Pond". This piece was also inspired by Bashō's famous frog haiku describes the silence of an ancient pond broken by a frog jumping in, creating the sound of water:
"Old pond
frogs jumped in
sound of water".
I wanted to create a haiku in a form of wearable jewelry art.
