Skomer Studio is an intimate practice that celebrates handcrafted design creating seasonless jewellery collections and one of a kind pieces. Inspired by art deco architecture, 20th century design and mixing modernity with tradition, each piece is created by hand at the workbench in a North London studio by jeweller Daisy Simpson. A Skomer Studio design is timeless and considered a future classic in a wearer’s selection of personal relics. High polished finishes, sculptural shapes, two tone pieces and subtle details are the design characteristics that define a Skomer Studio piece, whilst the brand’s ethos of longevity and wearability inform how the design is brought to life. Since the brand launched in 2019, Skomer Studio has been nominated and shortlisted Emerging Jewellery Brand of the Year at the UK Jewellery Awards (2022), and worn by celebrities such as Raye, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Sigala and Shervin Alenabi. Skomer Studio has also featured in The Guardian, The Telegraph, Harper's Bazaar (UK and Germany) and Vogue Korea. Hand forming and shaping of precious metals are the signature technical skills that provide the framework for Skomer Studio to exist, experiment and discover within. Jewellery designer Daisy Simpson takes a sculpted, three-dimensional approach to designing and making jewellery, where every design takes the journey from a rough sketch on paper to a design worked on at the bench through sculpting metal in Daisy's North London studio.
